About Us
The day after my first child Luke was born, I felt completely overwhelmed
by the responsibilities of caring for a newborn and had an endless
stream of questions for my pediatrician. Why was Luke crying so
much? How much milk should he be getting? Was he pooping enough?
I needed more and more information every day, but rarely had the
time – or a free hand – to refer to my infant care guides,
let alone track Luke’s progress in the keepsake books I’d
received as baby shower gifts.
So, in my few moments of downtime, I started to gather the information
I needed from infant care books and summarize it into “cheat
sheets” of checklists, tables, and reminders to help me overcome
the hurdles and capture the special memories of Luke’s first
year.
I then posted the cheat sheets in various rooms around my home,
so that I could refer to them when I was breastfeeding, cooking,
or even sweeping the floor! My cheat sheets enabled me to not only
survive Luke’s first year, but also keep my baby, my husband,
and myself happy, healthy, and organized during what was an exhilarating,
but sometimes trying period.
Soon after Luke turned 18 months, I gave birth to our second son,
Jake. Although I was no longer a first-time mom, I still needed
reassurance that Jake was eating enough and developing normally.
Once again, my cheat sheets proved invaluable. Over the next two
years, I created more cheat sheets and shared them with my mom friends,
who kindly gave me advice and feedback and encouraged me to compile
the cheat sheets into a wall-mounted, customizable calendar. Thus,
Baby’s First Year And Forever Keepsake Companion™ was
born!
Just as my cheat sheets helped me, I hope that Baby’s First
Year And Forever Keepsake Companion will help you, as new parents,
to not only survive your baby’s first year, but relax more
and enjoy this precious time as well!
Best of luck and enjoy this wonderful first year!
